A chartered town planner and economist, Stephen specializes in development economics, urban regeneration, wider economic impacts, and business case preparation for public sector funding. He has more than 30 years of experience in his field and successfully produced strategies and business cases that secure funding and opportunities for clients and communities in the United Kingdom and overseas.
Throughout his career, Stephen has worked on a very broad range of projects in urban, rural, and coastal environments. In recent years, he’s overseen securing £350 million for local authorities from the UK Government’s Future High Streets Fund, Towns Fund, Levelling Up Fund, and Growth Deals.
When he isn’t busy developing strategies and business cases, Stephen enjoys spending time with his family and travelling whenever he can—particularly to Scotland, North America, volcanic islands, and post-industrial or historic cities. He’s a keen football fan but won’t ignore other sports when football isn’t on.
